AMEX TO OPEN OPTIONS TRADING ON MFS COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY, INC.
NEW YORK, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today said it will open put and call options trading on the over-the-counter stock of MFS Communications Company, Inc. (stock/option symbol: MFST/MQF) on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1993. MFS Communications Company, based in Omaha, Neb., is the largest provider of local competitive access telecommunications services in the U.S. The company provides a wide range of voice, data and other enhanced services to many of the nation's largest corporations and government agencies. MQF will open with strike prices of 45, 50 and 55, and position limits of 5,500 contracts. Initial expiration months will be October and November of 1993 and February and May of 1994. Highland Securities Corp. will be the specialist unit for the new options. The Amex trades a total of 339 stock options, including 94 options on over-the-counter stocks, as well as 43 LEAPS(R) (Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities)(R).
