AMEX TO OPEN OPTIONS TRADING ON AMEX-LISTED THE HILLHAVEN CORPORATION AND OMEGA ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.

 NEW YORK, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today announced it will open put and call options trading on the Amex-listed stock of The Hillhaven Corporation (AMEX: HIL) on Friday, November 5, and the over-the-counter-stock of Omega Environmental, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: OMEG/OQM) on Monday, November 8.
 Headquartered in Tacoma, WA, Hillhaven Corporation is the second largest nursing home operator in the U.S., operating over 400 health care facilities, including nursing centers, retirement housing communities and pharmacy outlets in 38 states.
 HIL will open with strike prices of 15, 17-1/2 and 20 and position limits of 3,000 contracts. Initial expiration months will be November and December of 1993, and February and May of 1994. GHM, Inc. will be the specialist unit for the new options.
 Omega Environmental, based in Bothell, WA, provides products and services for the removal, installation, operation and servicing of underground storage tank systems. Through acquisitions and internal expansion, Omega is establishing a network of specialized service subsidiaries.
 OQM will open with strike prices of 10, 12-1/2 and 15 and position limits of 5,500 contracts. Initial expiration months will be November and December of 1993, and February and May of 1994. Highland Securities Co. will be the specialist unit for the new options.
 The Amex trades a total of 351 stock options, including 98 options on over-the-counter stocks, as well as 44 LEAPS (R). In addition, options are traded on eight broad market indexes -- the Major Market Index (XMI), the XMI LEAPS (R) Index (XLT), the S&P Midcap 400 Index and MidCap LEAPS (R) (MID), the Institutional Index (XII), the Japan Index (JPN), the EUROTOP 100 Index (EUR), the Morgan Stanley Cyclical (CYC) and Consumer (CMR) Indexes -- as well as six industry-based indices -- the Oil Index (XOI), the Computer Technology Index (XCI), the Pharmaceutical Index (DRG), the DRG LEAPS (R) Index (DGL), the Biotechnology Index (BTK), and the BTK LEAPS (R) Index (BKL).
