AMEX TO BEGIN TRADING OPTIONS ON STRATACOM, INC.
NEW YORK, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today said it will open put and call options on Thursday, Jan. 28, on the over-the-counter stock of StrataCom, Inc. (options symbol: RMQ). StrataCom, located in San Jose, Calif., designs, makes, sells and services IPX FastPacket cell switching systems for private wide area networks and public carrier high-speed data service offerings. StrataCom was the first company to ship systems supporting Frame Relay, an emerging industry standard for LAN internetworking. RMQ will open with strike prices of 15, 17-1/2 and 20 and position limits of 5,500 contracts. Initial expiration months will be February, March, May and August of 1993. AGS Specialist Partners is the specialist unit for the new options. The AMEX trades a total of 302 stock options, including 83 options on over-the-counter stocks, as well as 35 LEAPS(TM) (Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities).
