AMEX OPENS OPTIONS TRADING ON OAK INDUSTRIES INC.
NEW YORK, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today opened options trading on the listed stock of Oak Industries Inc. (stock/option symbol: OAK). Headquartered in Waltham, Mass., Oak Industries makes components and controls for leading manufacturers of cable televisions, consumer appliances, test and measurement equipment, materials for the military, and telecommunications and transportation equipment. The company is currently focusing on new product introductions. OAK opened with strike prices of 22 1/2, 25 and 30 and position limits of 3,000 contracts. Initial expiration months are July, August, September and December of 1993. Susquehanna Investment Group is the specialist unit for the new options. The Amex trades a total of 333 stock options, including 89 options on over-the-counter stocks, as well as 43 LEAPS (TM) (Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities).
