 AMEX AND BELFOX SPONSOR SIXTH INTERNATIONAL OPTIONS COLLOQUIUM
 NEW YORK, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- An international discussion of options and other derivative securities will take place in Brussels on December 7th and 8th at the Sixth International Options Colloquium sponsored by the American Stock Exchange (Amex) and the Belgian Futures and Options Exchange (Belfox).
 Financial industry professionals, leading academics and regulatory officials will be on hand to present the latest research theories as well as practical experiences about options and other derivative securities. Discussions will center on stock and index options, options pricing and valuation models, risk management techniques and the effect of options on capital markets. A special panel will look closely at trading derivatives internationally.
 Financial practitioners speaking from the U.S. include Paul Stevens, president, The Options Clearing Corporation; Peter Thayer, president, Gateway Investment Advisors; James Yates, president, DYR Associates; and Lawrence G. McMillan, president, McMillan Analysis Corporation. European practitioners include Stanley Beckers, president, Barra International, Ltd.; Luc Van Hof, investment advisor, Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc.; Hans Pontier, Bangert-Pontier & Partners; Patrice Poncet, conseiller du president, Delahaya-Ripault; Dr. Angeliene Kemna, director, Institute for Research and Investment Services; Jan van de Water, financial consultant; Henrik Neuhaus, vice president, J.P.  Serving as conference hosts will be Belfox Chairman Remi Vermeiren, Belfox General Manager Jos Schmitt and Amex Senior Vice President Howard A. Baker.
 The International Colloquium is modeled after the American Stock Exchange's annual Options and Derivatives Colloquium in New York, begun in 1981. Previous international meetings, which have been conducted in Switzerland, France, Germany, Sweden and Israel, have been credited with helping to introduce options and futures trading in these countries.
