AMEX'S 13TH ANNUAL OPTIONS AND DERIVATIVES COLLOQUIUM TO CENTER ON EMERGING MARKETS, CURRENCY OPTIONS & LEADING

 NEW YORK, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- With over 30 representatives from industry, academia and regulatory organizations, the American Stock Exchange's 13th Annual Options and Derivatives Colloquium on March 25 and 26 promises to offer insight into the usage of options and derivative securities and their effect on markets to come. Securities and Exchange Commissioner J. Carter Beese will be among the featured speakers. The Colloquium will take place at the New York County Lawyers Association in New York.
 The two-day discussion will focus on using derivatives and options in developing world markets, the practical application of currency options, empirical and derivative market studies from research papers prepared by internationally known scholars, pricing strategies and valuations, and exotic options.
 Regulatory and exchange discussions will be led by Sharon Lawson, Securities and Exchange Commission; Paul G. Stevens, The Options Clearing Corporation; George Sofianos, New York Stock Exchange; Ivers Riley, American Stock Exchange; and Howard Baker, American Stock Exchange.
 William Margrabe, Salomon Brothers Inc.; Andrew Schwarz, AGS Partners; James Yates, DYR Associates, Inc.; Ram Willner, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc.; Paul Gottlieb, Seward & Kissel; Georges Courtadon, Bankers Trust Company; Bernard G.
