AMES completes servicing on first of five DHL-owned Boeing 767s.
Air Transport Services Group Inc (ATSG), a provider of aircraft leasing and related services, on Thursday announced that Airbourne Maintenance and Engineering Services Inc (AMES) has completed heavy maintenance services for the first of five DHL-owned Boeing 767-200PCF aircraft.
Heavy maintenance was completed by the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider in advance of the aircrafts' conversion to special freighter configuration.
The first of the 767-200series aircraft was completed ahead of schedule, the company said. Two additional aircraft are undergoing similar heavy maintenance and are expected to be completed this year, while the fourth and fifth aircraft are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.
