VOORHEES, N.J., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- American Water Works Company (NYSE: AWK), the nation's largest investor-owned water utility system, and Anglian Water Plc, a United Kingdom water and wastewater utility, have announced the creation of a joint venture, American Anglian Environmental Technologies. Bernard Henderson, chairman of Anglian, said that the strengths and expertise of Anglian and American "complement each other very well."
"Anglian Water is delighted to have the opportunity to work with American Water Works Company to develop wastewater projects in the United States," he said. "We believe our joint venture can provide wastewater systems with some innovative technologies which can improve operations and reduce operating expenses."
