 NEW YORK, June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Prices on the American Stock


Exchange closed higher today in moderate trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed up 1.42 to 391.32. Advances led declines 262 to 226 with 250 issues unchanged. The average price per share rose one cent.
 Stock volume for the regular session totaled 11,493,915 shares, down from the 12,013,930 shares traded yesterday. There was no after-hours activity.
 Topping the most active list was International Corona Corp., up 1/16 to 4-5/8 on 797,100 shares, followed by Echo Bay Mines, unchanged at 6-1/4 on 642,100 shares. The third most active issue, Exploration Company of Louisiana, was up 1/8 to 1-1/2 on 588,900 shares.

 Today's volume in the Emerging Company Marketplace (ECM) totaled 262,000 shares. The most actively traded stock on the ECM was Top Source, up 1/2 to 3 on 103,400 shares. Trading in options was moderate today with 154,297 contracts changing hands as compared with 207,607 contracts traded yesterday. Calls were higher as puts traded lower.
 Topping the most active list in puts was the Unisys Corp. series, up 1/4 to 4 on 5,772 contracts, followed by the Phillip Morris Ju1y 70 series, down 3/4 to 1-3/4 on 1,330 contracts. The third most active was the Eli Lilly & Co. series down 3/16 to 1/4 on 1,073 contracts.
 Topping the most active list in calls was the Unisys Corp. June 12 1/2 series, unchanged at 1/16 on 4,000 contracts, followed by the Unisys Corp. July 5 series down 1/2 to 3 5/8 on 3,195 contracts. The third most active was the Unisys Corp. July 7 1/2 series, down 5/16 to 1-3/16 on 3,188 contracts.
 AMEX Index Options closed as follows:
 S&P Midcap Index: up .65 to 141.19. Contracts volume 2,155, with 1,735 puts and 420 calls.
 Major Market Index: up .39 to 354.36. Contracts volume 7,985, with 3,631 puts and 4,354 calls.
 Capped Major Market Index: up .39 to 354.36. Contracts volume 0, with 0 puts and 0 calls.
 XMI Leaps Index (XLT): up .04 to 35.44. Contracts volume 2,063 with 153 puts and 1,910 calls.
 Institutional Index: up .61 to 423.51. Contracts volume 2,479 with 711 puts and 1,768 calls.

 Prices on the American Stock Exchange closed lower this week in moderate trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 5.84 for the week to 391.32. The Market Value Index reached its intraday high of 397.41 on Monday and slipped to its intraday low of 389.29 on Thursday. The average price per share fell 18 cents this week.
 Regular session stock volume for the week totaled 54,526,350 shares, down from the volume of 58,282,225 shares traded last week.
 Options trading was active this week as 1,629,185 contracts changed hands, compared with 572,996 contracts traded in last week's session.
