 NEW YORK, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Prices on the American Stock


Exchange closed lower today in active trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 0.23 to 389.90. Declines led advances 292 to 215 with 219 issues unchanged. The average price per share was unchanged.
 Stock volume for the regular session totaled 12,013,930 shares, up from the 8,932,760 shares traded yesterday. There was no after hours activity bringing the cumulative volume for today to 12,013,930 shares.
 Topping the most active list was International Corona Corp., up 1/8 to 4 9/16 on 1,615,100 shares, followed by Fruit of the Loom ,down 2 3/8 to 32 1/8 on 590,000 shares. The third most active issue, Chambers Development, Class A, was down 1/8 to 6 7/8 on 401,100 shares.

 Today's volume in the Emerging Company Marketplace (ECM) totaled 162,200 shares. The most actively traded stock on the ECM was Intertel Communications Inc.,down 1/16 to 1 5/16 on 43,700 shares.
 Trading in options was moderate today with 207,607 contracts changing hands as compared with 173,612 contracts traded yesterday. Puts were higher as calls traded lower.
 Topping the most active list in puts was the S&P MidCap 400 June 160 series, up 2 5/8 to 20 1/8 on 4,840 contracts, followed by the Unisys Corp. June 12 1/2 series, up 1/8 to 3 3/4 on 3,220 contracts. The third most active was the S&P MidCap 400 June 157 1/2 series up 2 1/2 to 17 1/2 on 3,000 contracts.
 Topping the most active list in calls was the S&P MidCap 400 June 160 series, down 1/16 to 1/16 on 3,000 contracts, followed by the S&P MidCap 400 June 157 1/2 series down 1/16 to 1/16 on 3,000 contracts. The third most active was the Coastal Corp. series, down 1/8 to 2 3/8 on 2,381 contracts.
