 NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Prices on the American Stock


Exchange closed lower today in active trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 3.37 to 393.06. Declines led advances 339 to 190 with 214 issues unchanged. The average price per share fell nine cents.
 Stock volume for the regular session totaled 13,781,975 shares, up from the 8,303,770 shares traded yesterday. There was no after hours trading activity.
 Topping the most active list was International Corona Corp, up 1/16 to 4 7/16 on 476,400 shares, followed by Pall Corp, down 3/4 to 24 1/2 on 394,800 shares. The third most active issue, Energy Service Co was unchanged at 1 3/8 on 333,500 shares.

 Today's volume in the Emerging Company Marketplace (ECM) totaled 230,100 shares. The most actively traded stock on the ECM was AUDRE Recognition Systems, down 1/4 to 4 3/16 on 61,000 shares.
 Trading in options was moderate today with 159,789 contracts changing hands as compared with 133,880 contracts traded yesterday. Puts were higher as calls traded lower.
 Topping the most active list in puts was the Unisys JUNE 12 1/2 series, up 1/8 to 2 7/8 on 5,000 contracts, followed by the Nabisco SEPTEMBER 10 series, up 1/16 to 15/16 on 1,929 contracts. The third most active put was the S&P MIDCAP 400 JULY 145 series up 1 1/8 to 4 5/8 on 1,713 contracts.
 Topping the most active list in calls was the Unisys JUNE 12 1/2 series, unchanged at 1/16 on 5,000 contracts, followed by the Amgen JUNE 60 series down 1/4 to 1/4 on 2,234 contracts. The third most active call was the Marathon Oil JUNE 22 1/2 Series, down 1/4 to 1 1/8 on 1,991 contracts.
