 AMERICAN SIGNATURE GRAPHICS CUSTOMER BASE, TRADE NAME
 AND NEBRASKA PLANT ACQUIRED BY HOLDING COMPANY
 CHICAGO, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The management of AmerSig Graphics, Inc. ("AGI"), announced that it and one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, AS Mid-America, Inc., today acquired the assets of the Lincoln, Neb., facility of American Signature as well as that company's entire customer base, the American Signature trade name and sales group from ASG Acquisition Corp.
 The acquisition of the Lincoln, Neb., facility completes the first stage of AGI's plans to acquire American Signature's business and assets. American Signature's Memphis, Dallas and Atlanta plants will continue to serve the American Signature customer base, working under contract to AGI. AGI is currently negotiating to acquire these facilities.
 All employees of American Signature's Lincoln facility and the sales group were invited to accept continued employment.

 American Signature is one of the ten largest printers in the United States. It specializes in the high quality printing of magazines, catalogs and inserts for leading publishers and direct marketers across the country. It was formed in 1986 with a management buyout of the web printing group of American Standard. In 1989, American Signature acquired Foote & Davies.
 The 400,000-square-foot American Signature facility at Lincoln, Neb., has 11 web presses and 900 employees.
 AGI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Heller Financial, Inc., based in Chicago.
