AMERICAN MEDICAL HOLDINGS NAMES TERRY LINN VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT

DALLAS, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- American Medical Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMI) today announced the appointment of Terry Linn as vice president - development with responsibility for pursuing acquisition and other growth opportunities. He will report to AMI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert W. O'Leary.
Linn joins AMI from Ernst & Young, where he most recently was responsible for the firm's Southeastern Region health care consulting practice, including Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and North and South Carolina. At Ernst & Young, Linn assisted not-for-profit and proprietary clients in growth and planning, including merger and acquisition of acute care hospitals and other healthcare ventures. He joined Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) to launch the company's health care group in Charlotte, N.C., in 1978 following a number of previous consulting positions in the health care field, and became a partner in the firm in 1980. Throughout the next nine years, Linn developed Ernst & Ernst's consulting practice there while maintaining personal leadership responsibility for relationships with clients in the healthcare field. Following Ernst & Ernst's merger with Arthur Young in 1989, Linn's role in the new Ernst & Young expanded to include overall management of the firm's healthcare consulting practice throughout the Southeast and Southwest.
A native of Corinth, Miss., Linn is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he earned both an undergraduate degree in economics and an M.B.A.
American Medical Holdings, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates 35 acute care and one psychiatric hospital in the United States, with the largest concentrations in Texas, California and Florida. The company is headquartered in Dallas.
