AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION AND CAMPBELL SOUP COMPANY
 TO OFFER HEALTHY EATING VIDEO
CAMDEN, N.J., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Medical Association (AMA) and Campbell Soup Company's (NYSE: CPB) Healthy Request Soups today announced an agreement in which Campbell will help the AMA distribute its new home video, "Shop Smart! Eat Smart! The American Medical Association's Guide to a Healthy Diet."
The video, which contains practical information on healthy eating, menu preparation and food purchases, is designed to help make nutrition information understandable -- and useful -- to food shoppers. The video also explains how easy it can be to eat a balanced diet and stresses the principle that there is no single "good food or bad food"; all foods can fit into a balanced diet.
"Shop Smart! Eat Smart!" will be offered to consumers by Campbell's Healthy Request Soups in a variety of promotional vehicles for $8.95 plus any two Campbell's Healthy Request Soup labels: on-label; at point of sale; and in promotional advertising.
Following the Campbell offer, "Shop Smart! Eat Smart!" will be available through traditional video outlets. The video will carry a suggested retail price of $19.95.
The American Medical Association is the largest organization of physicians in the United States, representing more than 270,000 physicians and medical students nationwide. It was founded more than 140 years ago on a principle of "promoting the science and art of medicine and the betterment of public health." The American Medical Association maintains standards for medical education by accrediting medical schools and establishing requirements for residency and continuing education. As a matter of policy, the American Medical Association does not endorse specific brands or products.
Campbell's Healthy Request Soups are a line of 11 soups that are 98 percent fat-free, low in cholesterol, have less than 150 calories and 500 mg or less of sodium per serving and are made without monosodium glutamate (MSG). They are available in seven condensed and four ready- to-serve varieties in Campbell's most popular soup varieties.
