 AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION
TO OUTLINE OPPOSITION TO ROSTENKOWSKI TRADE BILL
 Press Conference
 Tuesday, May 19
 2:30 p.m.
U.S. Capitol, East Front Triangle (House side)
Several hundred import auto dealers and industry representatives who are in Washington for the International Automotive Congress of the American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) will be on the Hill Tuesday to lobby against HR. 5100, the Rostenkowski trade bill and other protectionist legislation.
Walter Huizenga, president of AIADA, will outline the AIADA's opposition to the legislation at the 2:30 press conference. "We are in the middle of what appears to be the most important automotive trade battle on Capitol Hill in the history of the industry," said Huizenga. "With the introduction of HR. 5100, a bill that restricts not only imports, but U.S. production of Japanese autos as well, the future of the U.S. economy and thousands of American jobs are at stake."
The AIADA is the trade association of America's international automobile dealers, representing more than 10,000 American businesses selling and servicing world class automobiles.
