AMERICAN HONDA TO INCREASE AUTO PRICES TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- American Honda Motor Co.
Inc. has announced a price increase for its Honda Division and Acura Division automobiles, effective March 1, 1992. Fluctuations in the yen/dollar rate and increased selling costs are responsible for the increase.
Prices for the Honda Division line of Accord, Civic and Prelude automobiles will increase by a sales weighted average of 1.7 percent, or $252 per vehicle. Honda Division prices will start at $8,100 for the Civic CX Hatchback, and range to $22,620 for the Prelude Si with 4-wheel steering option package with automatic transmission. Acura Division prices for Integra, Vigor, Legend and NSX automobiles will increase by a sales weighted average of 1.8 percent, or $415 per vehicle.
Acura prices will range from $12,580 for an Integra 3-door RS with 5-speed manual transmission, to $69,000 for the NSX with automatic transmission.
