AMERICAN GOLF CORP. LINKS WITH MCI TO INTRODUCE INNOVATIVE TOLL-FREE TEE TIME RESERVATIONS PHONE NETWORK

 Two-Year Contract Pairing Provides Golfers `800'
 Convenience & `Proof Positive' Savings for American Golf
 CULVER CITY, Calif., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- American Golf Corp., the largest golf course management company in the world, has joined with MCI to develop a reservations network for its golf courses, accessed by calling "800-GOTRY18."
 American Golf's unique centralized reservation tee time service currently handles 10 public, resort and private courses in Phoenix, Laughlin, Nev., and Las Vegas, with immediate plans to expand into Southern California and Houston. The reservation center allows resident golfers, travel agents, hospitality industry employees and tourists from around the nation to make tee times up to 60 days in advance.

"MCI's superior level of customer service, professionalism and bottom line cost-savings made MCI a clear-cut advantage over all other competitors.  Under the two-year contract, MCI will provide 800 service, outbound calling, fax and data services on its Vision VIP Plus calling plan. American Golf receives low MCI rates and combined volume discounts, backed by Proof Positive, MCI's best-price commitment.

 Proof Positive is a free customer benefit that analyzes a business' actual call data to provide written documentation, every 90 days, demonstrating that customers save money with MCI vs. the competition's widely used calling plans; customers always get MCI's best price based on their calling plan; and MCI always does what's right for the customer.
 In the future, MCI plans to provide American Golf with MCI Mail, an electronic mail system that will link all its courses; a corporate affinity program offering discounts and value-added services to private club members; a commission program set up at all courses to generate revenues from course payphones; fax broadcast for reservation confirmation; and electronic invoicing through MCI Perspective.
 American Golf, founded in 1970 and based in Santa Monica, Calif., is the industry leader in acquiring and operating golf courses in the United States. Some of American Golf's premier courses on the reservations network include Superstition Springs, Tatum Ranch and Arnold Palmer's signature course, The Legend, all in Arizona; the Sahara Country Club and Painted Desert Golf Club in Las Vegas; and Desert Lakes Golf resort in Laughlin.
