AMERICAN GENERAL TO REDEEM DEBENTURES HOUSTON, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- American General Corporation
(NYSE: AGC) today announced that it will redeem on April 8, 1992, $48,700,000 principal amount of its 9-3/8 percent debentures due Dec. 15, 2008 at the optional redemption price of 104.14 percent of their principal amount, together with accrued interest to the redemption date of $29.43 per $1000 principal amount.
The redemption notice for this partial reemption will be mailed on or about March 6, 1992 to the holders of debentures selected for redemption in whole or in part. The record date for selection of debentures to be called for redemption is Feb. 18, 1992.
