AMERICAN FILM TECHNOLOGIES CONTINUES TO NEGOTIATE WITH POTENTIAL INVESTORS

LOS ANGELES, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- American Film Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AFTI) today announced that it continues to negotiate with a group of investors led by Dr. M.G. "Pat" Robertson of Virginia Beach, Va., to finalize a definitive agreement for the group's planned investment of $4.7 million in the company as previously announced.
While the letter of intent signed on May 26, 1993, remains in effect, Robertson's group has not completed its due diligence, and, as a result, a definitive agreement has not yet been concluded. Discussions are proceeding in an orderly manner, and it is anticipated that all remaining issues will be resolved shortly. Originally, the parties had hoped to complete the transaction by June 30.
American Film Technologies Inc. is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Philadelphia and New York and with production facilities in San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. The company produces integrated digital animation and special effects for television and feature films. Breakthrough projects include the first animated short subject film to be completed entirely on an all-digital computer system -- Gahan Wilson's "Diner," released by Fox Film Corp., and "Magic Paintbrush," a half-hour television special for the McDonald's Family Theater. Founded in 1985, AFTI is also the dominant supplier of film coloring services to the entertainment industry.
