AMERICAN EXPRESS NAMES CASH, RYDER TO STRATEGIC POSTS NEW YORK, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- American Express Travel Related
Services Company, Inc. today announced the appointment of Thomas A. Cash to the newly created position of executive vice president, global service establishments business reeingineering.
Cash, 45, previously headed American Express' establishment services division, and will report to Harvey Golub, chairman and chief executive officer of TRS. "Tom Cash will lead one of our most important strategic initiatives: the application of a proprietary global technology platform that will enhance our service to establishments," Golub said. TRS also named Thomas O. Ryder, president of American Express publishing and direct marketing group, to the additional post of executive vice president, establishment services division. Ryder, 47, reports to Kenneth I. Chenault, president of the company's consumer card group. "Tom Ryder is one of the best business people in our organization," said Golub. "In addition, we want to bring our publishing company and merchandise services closer to our core business." Golub added, "Both of these moves emphasize the importance American Express places on its relationships with businesses that accept the American Express Card."
