AMERICAN EXPRESS INTRODUCES PRIVILEGED RATES HOTEL PROGRAM
 FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
NEW YORK, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Over one million small businesses who are American Express(R) Corporate Cardmembers can now receive reduced hotel rates through the Privileged Rates Hotel Program, a new benefit of membership offered by American Express Small Business Services and participating hotels.
The Privileged Rates Hotel Program will reduce corporate or minimum standard rates by at least 10 percent at participating Stouffer Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, and Choice Hotels International (Clarion, Comfort, Quality, and Sleep Inns).
Reservations can be made through a travel agent or by calling direct to the participating hotel's toll-free reservation number:
 Stouffer Hotels 1-800-HOTELS-1
 Hilton Hotels and Resorts 1-800-HILTONS
 Choice Hotels International 1-800-CLUB-VIP
Small Business Corporate Cardmembers will be sent an identification number to use when making reservations. No enrollment is necessary.
"Small businesses don't always have the bargaining clout that their larger counterparts have, so we've done the bargaining for them," said James A. Firestone, executive vice president at American Express. "With Privileged Rates, American Express continues to add to its portfolio of services designed to help small businesses succeed."
American Express will publicize the Privileged Rates Hotel Program through national advertising, newsletters, and direct mail to their more than one million Small Business Corporate Cardmembers.
