AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS NAMES CORNELIUS VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING & SALES

 BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- American Educational Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMEP) today announced it has named Connie N. Cornelius to the new position of vice president of marketing & sales. She will be responsible for all marketing and sales activities for the company's two manufacturing subsidiaries -- Hubbard Scientific and Scott Resources.
 Cornelius was the principal of Wildfire, Inc., Denver, a marketing consulting firm she founded in 1988. From 1989 to 1992, she was director of marketing for Case Logic, Inc., Boulder, Colo., a consumer audio/video products company. She helped to introduce 32 new products during her tenure, a period in which sales grew from $13 million to $37 million.
 Prior to joining Case Logic, Cornelius was vice president of Colorado Venture Capital, Boulder, where she was responsible for firm promotion, acquisition assessment, and marketing consulting to portfolio companies. She was previously vice president, marketing for DBS Office Furnishings, a Boulder-based manufacturer of hardwood office furniture. From 1973 to 1985, Cornelius served in a variety of marketing management positions for several Colorado companies.

 Cornelius has an MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver; and a bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a member of the American Marketing Association, Direct Marketing Association and the National Association of Female Executives.
 Earlier this month, the company announced that it had named George J. McMahon as general manager of Summit Learning, its mail-order distribution subsidiary. McMahon has 12 years experience in consumer catalog marketing.
 American Educational Products, Inc., headquartered in Boulder, Colo., is comprised of three wholly owned subsidiaries: Summit Learning, Hubbard Scientific and Scott Resources. AEP's subsidiaries develop, manufacture and distribute hands-on educational products for the K-12 market.
