AMERICAN DENTAL LASER SIGNS NEW DISTRIBUTOR
TROY, Mich., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- American Dental Laser

(NASDAQ: ADLI) announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Meer Dental, one of the largest dental suppliers in the United States. According to American Dental Laser President and Chief Executive Officer Anthony D. Fiorillo, Meer will serve as a distributor of ADL products in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and the metropolitan Chicago area.
Meer will sell the ADL 300 Nd:YAG dental laser, the most-purchased dental laser in the world, as well as American Dental Laser's new KCP 2000, an advanced system which uses kinetic energy to perform the most common procedure in dentistry -- preparing a tooth for a filling. The new instrument makes no direct contact with the tooth and performs the procedure in a quieter, gentler fashion than the dental drill, often eliminating the need for anesthesia.
The KCP 2000 is currently being introduced in Canada and Europe and is awaiting FDA permission for the U.S. market.
"Meer has long been one of the best dental suppliers in the business," Fiorillo said. "They do an outstanding job of selling and servicing products. Meer Dental is the type of high-quality, high- service firm that we want representing our products."
Meer Dental has been family owned and operated for the last 72 years. It is the largest dental distributor in the Midwest and the third largest in the United States. Based in Canton, Mich., it has 15 offices spread across eight states.
American Dental Laser, headquartered in Troy, develops high- technology products for dentistry and markets them worldwide. The company's stock is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol ADLI.
