 AMERICA SOFTWARE FORMS FRENCH SUBSIDIARY
 ATLANTA, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- American Software (NASDAQ: AMSWA)


today announced the formation of a French subsidiary, AMLOG, S.A.
 The company is headquartered in Paris.
 According to American Software's President and CEO James C. Edenfield, AMLOG addresses the sales, marketing and support requirements of French-speaking companies throughout Europe.
 "France has been our most successful sales region in continental Europe. We feel this operation meets the growing needs of this area," said Edenfield. "AMLOG demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive software applications and customer support services to the international marketplace."
 Staffed by foreign nationals with experience and expertise in American Software's products and services, AMLOG, S.A. will be headed by Nick Chettle. Chettle, who will serve as director general and sales director, has more than five years experience in the marketing, sales and support of American Software's products throughout France.
 Headquartered in Atlanta, American Software develops, markets and supports business application software for a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, utilities, financial institutions, health care, telecommunications and distribution concerns. American Software has offices located throughout the U.S. and the world including London, Paris, Singapore, Toronto, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne and Bangkok. American Software is an IBM Business Partner and Authorized Application Specialist. The company's shares are traded in the national over-the-counter market under the NASDAQ symbol AMSWA.
