AMERICA'S FAVORITE AEROBIC GURU RICHARD SIMMONS AND GOODTIMES HOME VIDEO IN EXCLUSIVE WORLDWIDE VIDEO AGREEMENT

'Sweatin' to the Oldies 2 and 3' and 'Stretchin' to the Classics'
to be Available at Retail for the First Time
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 ~PRNewswire~ -- Richard Simmons, the self- proclaimed "court jester of health," has signed an exclusive, worldwide, multi-million-dollar, ten-year exercise video agreement with GoodTimes Home Video Corp. The deal, which is believed to be the largest of its kind for an exercise product line, was announced today by Simmons, GoodTimes President Joe Cayre and Deal-A-Meal Corp., which produces Simmons' home videos and infomercials.
Said Simmons, "With the help of GoodTimes' distribution capabilities, my friends from all over the world will now be able to join in on the fun of 'Sweatin' to the Oldies' (Volumes 2 and 3) by picking it up at their favorite store. Now everyone will be singing and dancing while shedding all those extra pounds along the way."
Produced by the Deal-A-Meal Corp., the "Sweatin' to the Oldies" series has already sold in excess of five million units through direct response marketing. "Sweatin' to the Oldies 1" the only video in the series currently available at retail, has remained at or near the top of the Billboard video charts for over 2-1~2 years.
"Sweatin' to the Oldies 2" will be available at stores wherever videos are sold or rented beginning on Jan. 15, 1993 and "Sweatin' to the Oldies 3" will be available at retail beginning September 1993. Both videos are 60-minutes in length and will carry a suggested list price of $19.99. At present, the marketing plan for "Stretchin' to the Classics" is still being developed.
Designed by Simmons to combine fitness and fun, each "aerobic concert" in the video series is energized by his colorful personality and humor as a live rock 'n roll band performs everyone's favorite oldies. According to Simmons, the high energy, low-impact aerobics classes (including warm-up and cool-down sessions) offered on these videos will help flatten tummies, tighten buns, tone legs and strengthen upper bodies.
"Sweatin' to the Oldies 2," set in a funky '50s diner called "Pop's," lets you burn off fat the fun way by exercising to such great hit songs as "Locomotion," "My Boyfriend's Back," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Big Girls Don't Cry." "Sweatin' to the Oldies 3" takes you on a roller coaster ride of fitness in a magical aerobic amusement park called "Sweatin' Land." Propelling this all-round aerobic workout are tunes like "Gimme Some Lovin'," "Do You Wanna Dance," "Born to be Wild" and "Louie-Louie," to name just a few.
A native of New Orleans, Simmons' mission in life is to bring health and fitness to the people who need it the most. The unrivaled success of this fitness guru embraces a wide range of activities devoted to this cause. Millions and millions of faithful Simmons followers have worked out with him over the last two decades. In addition to owning the Beverly Hills based SLIMMONS fitness salon, he is known for his best- selling books, albums and cassettes and videos. Today, more than three million Americans use his "Deal-A-Meal" fitness program. Simmons is still most associated with his television appearances, as he was the host of television's longest-running exercises show.
