AMDURA CORPORATION ELECTS NEW DIRECTOR AND PRESIDENT OF HARRIS GROUP
 MINNEAPOLIS, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- John R Redmond today was named president of Harris Group, a leading manufacturer of recycling and waste-handling equipment based in Minneapolis. Redmond also was elected to the board of directors of AMDURA Corporation. Harris Waste Management Group, Inc., and The Crosby Group, Inc., are wholly-owned subsidiaries of AMDURA.
 Prior to joining Harris, Redmond, 41, was president of Alcoa Recycling Machinery Services (ARMS), a division of an Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) subsidiary. He was responsible for directing and overseeing the development, production, marketing and servicing of recycling equipment recycling services for Alcoa and the industry at large.

 Harris is the largest manufacturer of shears and balers in the world. Most recently, the company released the Navigator(R), a computer control system for recycling equipment which provides comprehensive maintenance and management reports, complete diagnostic information, and automatic control of conveyors. Also, a new baler (the HRB-2002) which cuts energy consumption by almost 50 percent while maintaining the same level of production.
 Harris is one of the world's leading manufacturers of equipment used in the handling of recyclable materials and solid waste. The company has corporate/management offices in Minneapolis, and manufacturing facilities in Baxley and Cordele, Ga. and Woodburn, Ore.
