AMCARE ANNOUNCES EARNINGS BEFORE TAXES UP 31.2 PERCENT FOR FISCAL 1992

 AMCARE ANNOUNCES EARNINGS BEFORE TAXES
UP 31.2 PERCENT FOR FISCAL 1992
CINCINNATI, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambulatory Medical Care, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMED), an operator of urgent care offices under the tradename Doctors' Urgent Care Offices, announced record results for fiscal year ended June 30, 1992. Patient revenues were up 8.9 percent or $6,703,846, management fees up 13.4 percent or $5,206,424 and earnings before taxes up 31.2 percent or $821,336 resulting in earnings after taxes of $731,949 or $.59 per share.
The higher increase in earnings relative to increases in revenues is a result of cost efficiencies and controls which should continue into the future. Further, the increasing amount and proportion of occupational medicine has a very beneficial impact on revenues and earnings. AmCare presently provides services to more than 700 companies across the Midwest. An on-going emphasis on this segment should continue to enhance the company's operating results. However, taxes will become a more important factor in earnings as AmCare's tax loss carryforwards become fully utilized during the first quarter of fiscal 1993.
 C. L. Decker, president, said the marketplace continues to undervalue the company with its track record of 5 profitable years, growth in revenue and profits, cost efficiencies and increasing diversification into occupational medicine. The price/earnings ratio of under 7 does not fully reflect the company's worth.
