 AMBASSADOR DIANA LADY DOUGAN JOINS IMM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- International Mobile Machines Corporation (NASDAQ: IMMC) announced the addition of Ambassador Diana Lady Dougan to its board of directors today.
 Dougan has worked professionally in telecommunications and broadcasting as well as served in senior policy and management positions for the government for more than two decades including appointments by the last three presidents of the United States in Senate-confirmed positions. She is currently senior advisor to the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington and chair of its International Communications Studies Program.
 Accorded the permanent rank of ambassador in 1983, she was the first statutory U.S. coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy. As U.S. coordinator, she instituted a number of organizational reforms including expanding significantly the involvement of U.S. industry in international negotiations, creating the telecommunications attache program and establishing ministerial level bilaterals with all major U.S trading partners. Her diverse background in communications areas includes positions such as the first CATV marketing director for Time Inc., director of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and producer of award-winning television specials including "The Nutcracker" and "The National Debate on the MX Missile," which won the Peabody Award for "Excellence in Broadcast Journalism."

 Dougan continues to be active in other fields including serving on a diversity of boards and commissions involving educational, cultural, civic and public policy endeavors. She has been honored with numerous awards including the 1998 Distinguished Service to Journalism Award (University of Utah), National Security Agency Medal and the "Outstanding Young Women in America" award. In 1965, she was given the Key to the City of Seoul and made an honorary citizen of South Korea.
