ALLOU HEALTH & BEAUTY CARE ANNOUNCES THAT IT EXPECTS TO REPORT
RECORD REVENUES FOR THE THIRD QUARTER FISCAL 1992
BRENTWOOD, N.Y., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Allou Health & Beauty Care, Inc. (AMEX: ALU), announced today that it expects to report record revenues of $38 million for its recently completed third quarter of FY'92 ended Dec. 31. This represents a 75 percent increase when compared to revenues of $21,760,581 reported in the same period last year.
In making the announcement, David Shamilzadch, chief financial officer of Allou, commented that "The sharp rise in revenues is a clear endorsement of Allou being a recession-resistant company." He added that "while the stubbornly sluggish economy is forcing many companies to slash their earlier projections, we are confident that we will surpass our previous forecast of $105 million in revenues for fiscal 1992."
Management remains focused on increasing revenues and improving margins which equates to a steadily improving and stable company with excellent future growth potential.
"This significant growth is only the beginning as we continue to enhance product lines and expand market share," Shamilzadeh stated.
Allou is the premier distributor of nationally advertised health and beauty aids prestige designer fragrances and cosmetics in the northeast, Miami and Philadelphia. Additionally, the company distributes non- perishable nationally advertised branded packaged food items and non- narcotic prescription pharmaceuticals. Allou's client base includes more than 5,000 independent drug, convenience stores and national chains.
