ALLIANCE IMAGING SIGNS NEW LONG-TERM CONTRACT; START-UP OF TWO MRI PROJECTS REPORTED

ORANGE, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliance Imaging Inc. (NASDAQ: SCAN) today announced the signing of a new five-year contract with Visalia Community
Hospital in Visalia. Under the terms of the contract, Alliance will install a Picker IQ Premier CT scanner for the period of the agreement. Financial details were not disclosed.
The company also reported that two previously announced MRI projects are now operational. A MRI center was opened at Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, Penn., utilizing a new General Electric 1.5 Tesla MRI unit under an eight-year contract. A second center commenced services at San Ramon Regional Hospital in San Ramon. The San Ramon facility will also use a new General Electric 1.5 Tesla MRI unit. Zehner, chairman, president and chief executive officer. "Nearly one-third of our MRI units are now in service on a full-time basis."
