ALITALIA STRIKE POSTPONED

 NEW YORK, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) today announced the company and union negotiators at Alitalia Airlines agreed to stop the clock regarding a Sept. 2 strike deadline until 00:01 a.m. Sept. 3.
 Company and union negotiators will continue to attempt to successfully negotiate an agreement before that deadline. The negotiations are being conducted under the auspices of National Mediation Board member Josh Javits.
