ALGOR HIRES FORMER NEXT COMPUTER NATIONAL SALES DIRECTOR AS VICE PRESIDENT

 PITTSBURGH, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Algor, Inc. has hired Robert A. Longo as vice president for sales and market development, it was announced today.
 Longo has held a number of key management positions at NEXT over the last five and one-half years, including the director of North American sales and director of eastern sales operations.

 Longo has worked in the sales and marketing of high technology products for more than 15 years, with more than five years in senior field management roles at Apple Computer, including a stint in California running K-12 school marketing, one of Apple's largest markets. He also was employed by Datapoint Corporation where he was responsible for multinational marketing and VAR and OEM sales. Longo is a native Pittsburgher and currently resides in Allison Park, Pa., with his wife Suzanne and sons Benjamin and Britt. He is a graduate of Central Catholic High School and holds a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University and his master's degree from Miami University of Ohio.
 Algor software is used by more than 10,000 engineers in more than 60 countries for mechanical engineering, analysis and design optimization. It is virtually impossible to spend a day without using a product Algor's software helped to engineer. Products as diverse as fast food restaurant furniture and food containers, Black and Decker's "Dustbuster," Nautilus exercise equipment and B.F. Goodrich tires were all engineered with the help of Algor software.
