ALDUS AWARDS GRANTS TO THREE ADDITIONS DEVELOPERS

 SEATTLE, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Aldus Corp. (NASDAQ: ALDC) today announced that it will award three Additions software developers more than $100,000 in grants to help fund the design, implementation and marketing of Additions for Aldus PageMaker, the world's best-selling desktop publishing program.
 Integrated Software (New York), Zephyr Design (Seattle) and Group Logic Inc. (Arlington, Va.) have been chosen to receive grants, which will range from $30,000 to $50,000.
 The Additions technology provides a specialized language of commands and queries that enables developers to tailor PageMaker for special publishing needs. Developers can write complex code modules and then communicate with PageMaker via commands that can perform any action that can be done to a publication.
