ALDUS ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGE

 SEATTLE, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Aldus Corp. (NASDAQ: ALDC) today announced that Ken Grunzweig, 50, vice president of marketing, has resigned for personal reasons. His resignation is effective immediately. Grunzweig, who joined Aldus in January 1993, is replaced by Stephen Cullen, 37, formerly vice president and general manager of the Aldus Consumer Division (ACD).
 In his new role, Cullen will assume responsibility for Aldus' worldwide corporate and product marketing efforts.
 Cullen joined Aldus in July 1990 as vice president and general manager of the company's Silicon Beach Software subsidiary. He became the head of ACD in June 1992 when the division was formed. Prior to joining Aldus, Cullen held a variety of positions during six years at Software Publishing Corp., including business unit director, director of business development, and director of marketing.
 After a short transition period, Cullen will be based at Aldus' corporate headquarters in Seattle. He will report to Sandy Smith, chief operating officer. Aldus has not named a successor for the ACD post at this time.
