 ALCO STANDARD ACQUIRES MCDONALD-KLEIN BUSINESS MACHINES
 VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Alco Standard Corporation (NYSE: ASN) announced today the acquistion of McDonald-Klein Business Machines, Inc. of Seattle, for an undisclosed amount of cash.
 The company sells Canon copiers, fascimile equipment and typewriters; and Xerox facsimile equipment. It will become a market extension of The William Dierickx Company, headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., under the direction of Peter A. Dierickx, president.
 Combined 1993 revenues for McDonald-Klein Business Machines and The William Dierickx Company are projected to exceed $42 million.
 The William Dierickx Company is one of 50 operating companies within Alco Office Products, the largest network of independent copier and office equipment dealers in the world and the only independent distribution network with international scope.
 Alco Office Products, headquartered in Valley Forge, ended fiscal 1992 with revenues of $1.3 billion and operating income of $105 million, representing a 32.2 percent increase in earnings over fiscal 1991.
 Alco Standard Corporation, also headquartered in Valley Forge, is a publicly owned paper and office products distribution company. For its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1992, revenues were $4.9 billion.
