ALCO INTERNATIONAL GROUP INC. SETTLES FEDERAL COURT SETTLEMENT WITH AN ADDITIONAL DEFENDANT

 SAN DIEGO, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Alco International Group Inc. (NASDAQ: ALIG) ("Alco") today announced the signing of a settlement agreement leading to dismissal of additional defendants in a suit filed by Alco in the United States District Court for Southern California against certain broker/dealers and other individuals. The defendants, Sovereign Equity Management Corp. and related parties will be dismissed pursuant to the terms of confidential settlement agreements. The dismissal is subject to court approval.
 The company also announces that an order previously received from Guatemala consisting of the BIM(TM) and related disposable products, along with an order of the Rabbit(TM) Personal Computer for Women, has been shipped. In addition, the company has received payment, along with an order, from Puerto Rico for BIM systems.
 Alco, through its subsidiaries, operates two primary businesses: the marketing of medical products for infection control and women's health and the transportation of containerized cargo from South Florida to the Caribbean.
