ALCO ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION

 VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Alco Standard Corporation (NYSE: ASN) announced today with regret that it had accepted the resignation of Larry K. Switzer as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
 Switzer, who joined the company on Aug. 1, 1992, is leaving to pursue other interests.
 Alco Standard Corporation, headquartered in Valley Forge, is a publicly owned paper and office products distribution company. For its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1992, revenues were $4.9 billion.
