ALASKA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS STRIKE CALIFORNIA FLIGHTS

SEATTLE, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Three flights were delayed and one flight canceled and more than 250 passengers were effected as Alaska Flight Attendants intensified their campaign of CHAOS early today.
The flight attendants struck flights departing San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland as part of their ongoing efforts to win a fair contract from Alaska Airlines. The flight attendant group, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants AFL-CIO, have been in contract negotiations with the company for more than three years. They have been working under company imposed terms since late June.
"This is only the beginning, we will continue to escalate CHAOS until Alaska negotiates with us fairly and in good faith," said Gail Bigelow, president of the AFA unit at Alaska.
