ALASKA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS FILE SUIT

SEATTLE, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The flights attendants of Alaska Airlines, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), AFL-CIO, filed suit here against their company today. The suit alleges bad faith bargaining, unfair labor practices and interference with the union, among other charges.
The suit comes on the heels of unilateral company actions imposing work rules and conditions on the flight attendant work force after negotiations broke down June 19. The company left the negotiations table after three years of negotiations, without responding to AFA's offers of compromise.
