ALAN DIXON NAMED TO MID-CITCO, MID-CITY BANK BOARDS

 CHICAGO, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Illinois U.S. Sen. Alan J. Dixon has been elected a director of Mid-Citco Inc., Chicago, and its Mid-City National Bank of Chicago.
 "Sen. Dixon's wide experience as a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee and knowledge of the business community as a member of the Small Business Committee, provides our organization with an invaluable resource," said Mid-Citco board President Kenneth A. Skopec.
 Skopec, who also serves as vice chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Mid-City, said Dixon, a former Illinois state treasurer and secretary of state, is highly regarded in business and financial circles nationally.
 Dixon has joined the Bryan Cave law firm in St. Louis, where he is a partner in the firm's Corporate and Business Department. The firm has 12 offices in the United States and abroad.
 Mid-Citco, with assets of $1.4 billion, owns four banks in Illinois and Oklahoma. The holding company recently reported its 12th consecutive year of record earnings.
 Mid-City, with assets of $714 million, is the largest bank in the system with nine locations in the Chicago area.
