ALAMO CONTINUES SEARCH FOR MISSING EMPLOYEES FOLLOWING HURRICANE ANDREW
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Fort Lauderdale-based Alamo Rent A Car is continuing its efforts to search for and contact five employees and their families in the Miami area who were displaced by Hurricane Andrew and are still unaccounted for. The company has sent a team of crisis management specialists to its Miami Rental Plaza with food, water and relief supplies, and has spent the week making contact with the other 175 employees affected by the storm.
While Alamo has been able to locate almost all of its staff, "We still have five employees and their families whom we have not been able to locate," said Alamo President Charles Platt. "We are prepared to deliver food and relief supplies to these people, and even find alternate housing for them, so we're praying for some contact soon."
According to Platt, Alamo employees in the Miami area are requested to contact the Miami Rental Plaza at 305-633-6076 to advise their location, and food and supplies will be delivered from Alamo then.
