AL SAWADI BEACH RESORT and SPA REOPENS.

The iconic Al Sawadi Beach Resort and Spa reopened amidst much fanfare and celebrations after undergoing a facelift.

The property that reopened on May 2, is offering a flat 50 per cent discount on all room tariffs during Ramadan. Guests can also avail of a delicious iftar buffet at Al Reef restaurant. The iconic property has undergone a facelift and is now under a new management headed by K K Mohandas, chairman of La Terrazza International.

Speaking on the occasion of the re-launch, Mohandas, chairman said, 'I plan to make Al Sawadi Beach Resort and Spa, Oman's premier tourist destination and flag-bearer of Omani hospitality. Future plans include hosting concerts, events and a full-service water park. For now, we invite guests to avail of the 50 per cent off on Ramadan package and a new experience altogether.'

A veteran hospitality businessman in Oman, Mohandas runs several prime restaurants such as Passage to India and Bellapais. Mohandas said that Al Sawadi Beach Resort and Spa will soon become Oman's favourite holiday destination and a popular attraction for international, regional and local guests, given the resort's attractive holiday packages and facilities.

The 100-room resort with standard, deluxe and suite rooms, comes with a private beach. Guests have the option of choosing from garden and sea views to enjoy a relaxed stay. The resort is equipped with an all-day dining restaurant, an Irish pub, a pool bar and banquet facilities. The property's vast lawns are by the pool and come with a mesmerising ocean backdrop, a perfect setting for programmes and events.

The resort has a fully functional gymnasium, squash courts, tennis courts and spa facilities.

Steven Hutton, general manager, Al Sawadi Resort and Spa, believes that their fun water sports activities such as jet skis and banana boats, as well as their scuba diving offerings will prove to be a massive attraction for travellers. The resort's proximity to the pristine dive sites around the Damaniyat Island is an added advantage.
