AKU to host Policy Dialogue on Immunization Financing Challenge.
KARACHI -- The Aga Khan University on Friday (December 22) hosting a dialogue between policy experts and policy planners to understand the current state of immunization financing affairs in the country and how to build self-reliance.
Organizers here on Thursday said policy planners will discuss country's progress towards self-financing in its nationwide vaccination programmes.
This was said to be extremely relevant as Pakistan that currently relies on international donors to fund essential vaccines is preparing to move towards self-financing these vital vaccine programmes.
The programmes on immunization that provides vaccination cover, against nine deadly diseases, to the children across the country are needed to be planned and resourced in accordance to change in their source of financing, said the organizers.
The event will be attended by policy planners, immunization programme managers, private sector experts from Pakistan, Afghanistan and the World Health Organization besides representatives of other relevant stakeholders.
