AK Party's city council candidate killed.

ySTANBUL (CyHAN)- CoE-kun Demirkol, the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) candidate for membership on the BeylikdE-zE- City Council, was shot in front of the party's election coordination center in the same ystanbul district at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday and died at a local hospital shortly thereafter.

The police have taken a suspect into custody.

On Jan. 26, another person was killed and six others injured in a gun attack outside an office of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in ystanbul's Esenyurt district. The incident took place during the visit of Rasim Acar, the MHP's ystanbul mayoral candidate, to inaugurate the party's election headquarters.
