AIRTRAN REVISES EARNINGS OUTLOOK

 MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: ATCC), parent company of Mesaba Aviation, Inc., today said that weaker than planned January passenger traffic has caused the company to revise its fiscal 1993 earnings outlook to the vicinity of $.75 per share.
 Robert D. Swenson, AirTran's president and chief executive officer, said, "Earnings in the vicinity of $.75 per share will make fiscal 1993 another record year for our company and will compare very favorably with our fiscal 1992 earnings of $.66 per share."
