AIRSENSORS INC. REPORTS INCREASED SALES AND FOURTH CONSECUTIVE QUARTER OF PROFITABILITY

 SEATTLE, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- AirSensors Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: ARSN, ARSNW) announced today increased sales and the fourth consecutive quarter of profitability.
 For the fourth quarter ended April 30, 1993, net sales increased 9 percent to $7.8 million, compared to net sales of $7.2 million reported for the same period a year ago. Net income applicable to common stock was $151,893, or $.03 per share, for the quarter, compared to a net loss of $315,834, or ($.01) per share a year ago.
 For the 12-month period, net sales reached $32.1 million, a 27 percent increase over net sales of $25.2 million reported for the 12 months of fiscal 1992. Net income applicable to common stock was $1.0 million, or $.27 per share, compared to a net loss of $2.4 million, or ($.64) per share for the same period last year.
 The major growth in net sales was in higher motor vehicle sales to Australia and to several U.S. distributors who exported the company's products to Mexico. International sales for the 12 months ended April 30, 1993, increased more than 48 percent from the same period of fiscal year 1992.
 AirSensors Inc. sells its products worldwide through its wholly owned subsidiary, IMPCO Technologies Inc. located in Cerritos, Calif. IMPCO manufactures gaseous fuel equipment that allows internal combustion engines to operate on clean fuels such as propane and natural gas. IMPCO provides conversion equipment for motor vehicles, forklifts, other material handling equipment and small portable to large stationary engines.
