AIRPORT SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL FILES INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING OF 1,400,000 COMMON SHARES WITH SEC

 OVERLAND PARK, Kansas, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Airport Systems International announced today it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission covering a proposed initial public offering of 1,400,000 shares of common stock. Of the total, 700,000 are being sold by the company and 700,000 are being sold by certain selling stockholders.
 Fahnestock & Co. Inc., will manage the underwriting group. The offering is expected in early December at an estimated price of $10 to $12 per share.
 Net proceeds to the company will be used to reduce debt, redeem preferred stock, increase working capital and for general corporate purposes.
 Headquartered in Overland Park, Airport Systems International designs, manufactures, markets and installs ground-based aircraft radio navigation equipment (navaids). Navaids provide approach-to-landing and en route guidance to aircraft, allowing safe navigation and landing in poor visibility conditions. Regulations by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the International Civil Aviation Organization require that navaids be used worldwide at airports conducting all-weather operations.
