 AIRLINE PASSENGER TRAFFIC RISES 11.0 PERCENT IN MARCH
 WASHINGTON, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Airline passenger traffic


increased 11.0 percent in March compared with the same month last year, the Air Transport Association reported today.
 In domestic service, traffic increased 2.2 percent in March, while available seat miles were up 0.6 percent. The passenger load factor averaged 60.8 percent, up from 59.9 percent for March 1991. Passenger enplanements increased 1.5 percent to 33.7 million.
 In international service, traffic in March was up 44.9 percent. Available seat miles increased 26.8 percent. The load factor averaged 68.2 percent, compared with 59.7 percent for March 1991. In March 1992, 3.3 million passengers were enplaned, up 25.8 percent from the same period last year.
 For the first three months of 1992, domestic traffic increased 0.3 percent, and available seat miles were up 2.1 percent. The load factor decreased to 56.8 percent. Passenger enplanements were down 0.8 percent, with 91.5 million passengers. International traffic for the first three months of 1992 was up 38.4 percent. The available seat miles increased 21.1 percent, and the load factor averaged 65.4 percent, up from 57.3 percent last year. The number of passengers increased 24.1 percent to 9.3 million.
