AIRD Announces E-ppraisal Commitment to Join 'AI Ready[TM]' Initiative.
E-ppraisal, a company specializing in automated real estate valuation software for appraisers, has enhanced its E-ppraisal valuation technology to provide appraisal data that conforms to the Appraisal Institute Ready[TM] Standard for easy interface with the Appraisal Institute Residential Database. The standard, developed by the Appraisal Institute's Residential Data Storage Standards Committee, establishes a data communication protocol that allows appraisers to deliver completed reports securely to their clients via the Web without rekeying.Based on extensible markup language (XML), the standard establishes a data-sharing protocol that allows software forms packages to communicate real property data using common "tags," or definitions. The Open Appraisal Document Interface, or OADI, is a set of objects that facilitate the transport/receipt and translation/creation of XML files that adhere to the standard. Software conforming to the standard bears the logo "Appraisal Institute Ready[TM]," and can transmit and receive data seamlessly to and from other participating software as well as AIRD. The standard, open to all appraisal software vendors, was created to assure industry-wide access to AIRD.
