AIR RAGE STAB YOB IS FREED.
A PLANE rage thug jailed in Spain for a vicious attack on a Scots air hostess has been freed.
Steven Handy, 34, served just two years of his four years two months sentence for stabbing Fiona Weir with a vodka bottle.
Handy was jailed by a Malaga court for the sickening attack on Fiona, of Irvine, Ayrshire, which scarred her for life.
Last night, Fiona's husband Spencer Ahluwalia said they had been warned that Handy was going to be freed on bail.
He said: "You would expect him to serve longer given the severity of the attack."
In an interview last month, Handy of Ockenden, Essex, bragged: "I'm a changed person now
"I'm off the booze. And I've found God. But if Fiona thinks she can get money out of me, she can whistle for it."
But yesterday his mum Joan, from Essex, said: "I didn't know he was out and hope he doesn't come back. He says this nonsense about giving up drink and finding God every time he's inside."
Handy, the first Briton extradited to Spain, is likely still to be on the Costa del Sol.
